How it all began..
Since entering the market in 2012, Paprcuts has steadily grown and there is no end in sight. We are a young, colorful team with a variety of skills and talents, but we are united by one vision: the vision of a better future. A colorful future.
It all started with a small party wallet. Today, we sometimes smile about this long, wild journey. We have developed the wallet in many different ways. The result is products for everyone, for every occasion. Each of our core pieces is a contribution to a more sustainable world. We love experimenting with innovative materials and living out our wildest dreams.
How it continued..
After a few years, we fulfilled the dream of having our own small production in the heart of Berlin's Neukölln, Germany's colorful capital. Here, the entire team, consisting of seamstresses and tailors, creative minds, and planners, worked tirelessly. Innovative products and colorful designs were born here, thanks to unique people who worked together like a small family.
On site, we produced our wallets, toiletry bags, and accessories from Tyvek®. The material that started it all and led us to our name "Paprcuts." Tyvek® is a tear- and waterproof synthetic fiber that strongly resembles paper in look and feel. To emphasize the difference between regular paper and Tyvek®, we at Paprcuts simply left out the "e." The subtle difference makes all the difference, and we want to make a difference.
Where we stand today..
The pandemic has brought us back down to earth. We have drastically reduced our team and outsourced tasks to external partners. This helps us to use capacities only when we actually need them. This way, we can focus on the essentials again without having to worry every month about not being able to pay everyone.
We have worked with a variety of innovative materials to offer you, our community, sustainable and at the same time animal-friendly alternatives. Why should a product have to travel around the world when it can be done differently? We do it differently. For you. And for our planet. For a better tomorrow. For everything that is yet to come. We are on board, you can count on that.
Where the journey is headed..
It was always important to us that we don't have big investors breathing down our necks. This increases our flexibility and allows us to make decisions completely freely. Unfortunately, this is not without its challenges - because it also means that we are constantly working with cash flow. When you buy a product, we invest the money in new materials, components, and everything the company needs.
We ourselves are incredibly excited to see where the journey goes next. We look forward to everything that is yet to come. And we are happy that you are part of it.
