Our RFID wallet is printed and punched at our external partners in Berlin. All further steps follow at our partner production sites in Germany, Poland & the Czech Republic. Here, the wallet is folded and additional components such as magnet and RFID protection are installed. Afterwards, it goes to the sewing work.
This is how it looks like it should. To ensure it arrives protected and nicely to you, it is now packed and labeled. In the end, each wallet has gone through at least 4 pairs of hands.

RFID protection - what is that?
RFID stands for radio frequency identification, meaning identification of electromagnetic waves. Your bank card uses this technology, for example, to make contactless payments at the checkout. It has advantages, but it can also mean data theft in some cases.
For this reason, we have equipped our wallets with a protection that blocks the signal outward. When you take out your bank card (or your ID card), everything works as usual. Inside the wallet, the signal is blocked outward.
Paprcuts - our mission
In 2011, the idea "Paprcuts" became louder in Nils' mind. It all started with a party wallet - small, light, stylish. Back then, production in Germany was unthinkable... way too expensive!!
Today we can say that it could certainly be cheaper, that we could certainly earn more, that we have often taken a different path. But at the same time, we are very proud to guarantee fair working conditions & transparency with our partner productions in Germany, Poland & the Czech Republic.
We recently asked ourselves "What do we actually want?" - we want to offer an alternative and continuously question the status quo. We do not want to stand still, but rather help make consumption sustainable & more colorful.

The idea for Paprcuts was born in 2011 when Nils – honestly a bit hungover on the couch – crafted a slim wallet out of newspaper because the bulky leather one in his pocket was annoying him. The first piece lasted only three days, but the idea was born – and has been constantly developed ever since. Today, our products are so durable that with good care they last a lifetime. Or can over a million sold products and satisfied customers be lying?

Little Bee Fresh X Paprcuts
Our next dream collaboration is about to start: the sustainable company Little Bee Fresh lent us a whole flower meadow & we put the favorite design on our beautiful RFID wallets and toiletry bags.
As the name suggests, Little Bee Fresh has a strong connection to bees through their own beekeeping operation. Under the motto "There is no planet B(ee)", we have added some magical products to our shop.
A big thank you goes to Little Bee Fresh for the great collaboration. We love working with brands that share the same values & ideas.
Little Bee Fresh
Little Bee Fresh was founded by the mother-daughter duo Rosemarie and Angelika. The two come from Lake Constance & keep their own bees there. As beekeepers, they try to respond to the natural needs of the bee colonies & protect them. Since Angelika and Rosemarie care deeply about the environment & sustainability, they gradually began to switch to plastic alternatives privately. This led them to the idea of producing wax wraps and bags instead of single-use cling film with their own beeswax. Today, they manufacture many beautiful products in their own workshop in Bavaria.

Fair production in DE & the EU
Both we and Little Bee Fresh rely on fair manufacturing. The toiletry bags and coin purses were designed, printed & die-cut in Berlin. Afterwards, all sewing work was done in our production facility in Poland. Little Bee Fresh has its own manufactory directly on Lake Constance. Regional production means transparency about the production conditions for us and thus prevents the exploitation of employees. In addition, we are grateful for such short delivery routes, because: there is no planet B(ee).
